And ask us about custom trips
This is the perfect introduction to riding in the big mountains, with routes designed to be manageable yet also hugely satisfying. We take our time, have regular breaks, and it's strictly one climb per day. A typical route is 85km and 1800m of climbing.
Riding up mountains is tough but it’s more attainable than you might think. We support you all the way, not only with the guides and car, but also with pacing and nutrition advice, and lots of friendly encouragement!
We also provide training tips for the weeks before your trip to help you feel your best. See our Advice section for more confidence-boosting knowledge.
Because this tour is dedicated to those new to the mountains and/or bringing less cycling experience and fitness, everyone will be at a similar level meaning no worries or stress. Discover the magnificence of the mountains and the incredible buzz of conquering them!

This is a typical set of routes. It is not set in stone and nor does it always run in this order. We adjust the order to suit the weather and adjust the routes to suit each group. Most of the routes are also adjustable on the fly, so we can adapt to suit how everyone is feeling, even splitting the group at times. We nearly always change a couple of days on every tour - there is no expectation or pressure to ride every last metre of what's above.
We simply want everyone to have an incredible experience!

WHO IS THIS TRIP FOR?
This trip is designed for road cyclists who want to experience riding in the mountains on achievable routes with the support of an expert guide and a follow car. A reasonable level of fitness is advised but no previous experience of riding in mountains is required.
What sets this trip apart is the carefully balanced set of routes and the high level of support. On Meet The Mountains, each route is designed to be manageable, with no more than one major climb per day. Every route is packed with stunning roads, incredible views and truly memorable riding - no long transfers to get to the good stuff. With a highly experienced guide and a fully-equipped support car carrying extra food, drink and clothing, riders don't have to think about navigation or finding the next water point, only enjoying the ride.
Before your stay, we discuss your goals and fitness, then tailor the routes to the group with options to suit each individual. During your trip, meals and ride snacks are adapted to your dietary needs and training load, and expert advice is available on pacing, nutrition, recovery, equipment choices, descending technique, and current road conditions.
Our Meet The Mountains guests value the opportunity to challenge themselves on the big climbs with the reassurance of expert support. They range widely in age and experience – from riders in their 20s to their 70s, from those quite new to road cycling to lifelong riders.
From our perfectly located base near Argelès-Gazost in the Pyrenees, riders can take on iconic Tour de France climbs such as the Col du Tourmalet, Col d’Aubisque, Col du Soulor, Hautacam, and Luz Ardiden.
